Letter from Coach Hendrick:
RiverHawks & Redmen Baseball Alumni,
It is that time of year again. I look forward to this event continuing to grow each year. We have made some significant changes to our facilities in the last year that I look forward to having you guys see. The main goal that I have with our Alumni Day is to create a yearly event where former players and families want to come back to campus and celebrate RiverHawks/Redmen Baseball. This is an important event for me because our past is what carries us forward.
My goal is to create an event that ALUMNI become excited about each year! I want that history in front of our current players. I am very excited about the direction the program is headed and would be thrilled to have as many former RiverHawks and Redmen back as possible on October 22, 2016. We will have a day full of good times with great friends as we honor and recognize all alumni.
We will begin the festivities at 11 am with alumni taking batting practice, in and out, and then we will play a game featuring the
ALUMNI vs CURRENT TEAM.
Following the game, we will break for a few hours (NSU football has a home game that afternoon if interested), and then reconvene that evening for dinner and drinks at a restaurant in town where we can hang out, tell stories, and enjoy the company of players from many different decades.
Please contact assistant coach
Robbie Rea (reaw@nsuok.edu) or head coach
Jake Hendrick (hendricw@nsuok.edu) to register for the weekend. Also, if you know of anyone else that would be interested please pass the invitation along. We don't want to miss any of our alumni.
Please update us on your current contact information including email, cell phone, and address. Also, let us know when you plan on getting into town and how many family members will be joining you. We have attached a sheet if it is easier for you to print and mail it back.
Again, we look forward to having you back on campus for Saturday, October 22.
