Allyson Pogue helped lead the NSU softball team to the finals of the 2014 MIAA Championship. NSU entered the tournament as the No. 8 seed and upset the No. 1 seed twice and the No. 4 seed. Pogue had at least one hit in each of the first four games, which included a solo home run in the first win over then-No. 13 Emporia State.
