ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Northeastern State women's soccer team defeated Ouachita Baptist 2-1 Sunday afternoon at the OBU Soccer Complex.
The RiverHawks (6-2-0, 0-2 MIAA) gave the Tigers (6-1) their first loss of the season.
Ouachita Baptist took the lead late in the first half and maintained the 1-0 advantage until the 53rd minute when senior midfielder
Renee' Valcarcel scored on an assist from senior midfielder
Elizabeth Cudjoe.
Valcarcel then scored again 42 seconds later from a pass from freshman forward
Nea Sunila who was assisted by freshman midfielder

NSU outshot OBU 25-12 and had the advantage in corner kicks 10-4.
Freshman goalkeeper
