Northeastern State Coach Randy Gipson
Opening Statement…
"Pittsburg State has a good team. Our kids came in here and gave a competitive effort. I'm not disappointed in the effort. We played harder than we did in the last game. (Pittsburg State) is a good team that has a lot of weapons and they made some shots. We didn't make quite enough. We also had some careless turnovers. We let them get some second shots that we need to reduce as we go forward. Overall, I thought our team came to play. We played against a good team tonight that was ready to play. They got their All-American (Lizzy Jeronimus) involved well, and (Cathy Brugman) hit some shots."
Â
On how the team stays motivated…
"We just have to try to get better. We have players that have good character. They want to play better and they want to win. We're just going to keep game planning and keep working on trying to be a good team."
