NORTHEASTERN STATE COACH ROB CZLONKAOn the senior class..."This is a very special group of guys for me. (Eric) Crawford, (Chance) Miller, and (
Josue Morales) were part of the first group I ever recruited. They were part of a mixed class of transfer students. They had an extra redshirt year to join this group with all guys I recruited. They have been with me for years. Crosby (Lee) and Paul (Samia) were kind of a package,
Brenden Bombardier,
Frank Garay and
Eric Shephard have played most games for us throughout the last four or five years so it's an incredibly special group for me."
Â
On prepping for Sunday's showdown with Fort Hays State..."This will be the first time we've ever been part of a scoring line like this. I felt like our guys couldn't miss and I hope it continues
on Sunday. You're also aware that we need to refocus and be prepared for a very serious match. An NCAA tournament berth is potentially on the line, and we need to make sure we take care of our business
on Sunday. I'm very pleased with how our guys played and the seniors particularly. Seven of them netted a goal. Those guys played so well. You also saw young guys like
Trevor Reed getting a hat trick and (Morgan) Dizney and (James) Olmos scoring goals.
Matt Liotta played fantastic in the middle and (Jonathan) Guzman was very smooth on the ball. (
Joseph Garcia) was tenacious. It's a great group of guys and we need to make sure we enjoy
tonight and refocus
tomorrow."
