ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Northeastern State men's basketball team lost to Lindenwood 75-63 Saturday afternoon inside Hyland Arena.

The RiverHawks (1-6, 0-3 MIAA) lost for the fifth time in a row, while the Lions improved to 6-2 on the year and 2-0 in the league.

Trey Mohair missed just four shots en route to a 23-point effort. Senior forward
Dakota Caudill chipped in with 16 points of his own.

NSU shot 33.8 percent (22-for-65) from the field, 31.6 percent (6-for-19) from 3-point territory and 68.4 percent (13-for-19) at the free-throw line. LWU shot 44.2 percent 23-for-52) overall, 36.8 percent (7-for-19) from deep and 81.5 percent (22-for-27) at the charity stripe.

Cory Arentsen was the only Lion in double figures, but he made it count as he poured in 40 points. He also grabbed 13 rebounds and was 12 of 26 from the field. He only made 4 of 11 from behind the 3-point line, but he was 12-for-14 at the free-throw line.

NSU led in fewer turnovers (13-15) and points off turnovers (14-6), while Lindenwood led in rebounds (41-34), assists (14-5), blocks (6-3), steals (7-5), points in the paint (32-28) and second-chance points (19-9).

The RiverHawks will close out their four-game road stretch with a 7:30 p.m. tilt Dec. 14 against Lincoln in Jefferson City, Missouri.
