Box Score 2TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The Northeastern State softball team lost two games to Southeastern Oklahoma State Wednesday afternoon at RiverHawks Park.
The RiverHawks (17-28) lost to SEOSU (25-18) 13-5 in six innings before falling 7-6 in game two. Â
Three RiverHawks finished the day with three hits. Freshman

Megan Ewton all finished 3-for-6. Sophomore

Brianna Trujillo (2-for-4) each finished the day with two hits.
Northeastern State will next host Emporia State in the last home games of the season for the RiverHawks. The doubleheader, originally scheduled for April 21, will now take place April 18. The first game is set to begin at noon.
SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE 13, NORTHEASTERN STATE 5 (6 INNINGS)The Savage Storm jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a two-run home run by Laramie Beal. The team added three more runs in the second inning.
The RiverHawks responded in the third inning, scoring four runs of their own to trail 5-4.
Southeastern Oklahoma State brought across three runs in the fourth inning, two of which came off Beal's second home run of the game.
The green and white got one run back in the bottom of the inning when freshman
Kaleigh Hinkle came around to score on an RBI double by Boone.
The Savage Storm plated two runs in the fifth inning, and three additional insurance runs in the sixth inning to push the final score to 13-5.
Senior
Laura Fleck (4-5) took the loss for the RiverHawks. She threw 4.0 innings and conceded eight runs on eight hits. Sophomore
Krissy Crow threw 2.0 innings in relief, allowing five runs (three earned) on four hits.
SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE 7, NORTHEASTERN STATE 6SEOSU took a 2-0 lead in the first inning of game two when Sydney Kramer hit a home run with Jessica Simmons on base. The Savage Storm added three runs in the top of the second inning to take a 5-0 lead.
The RiverHawks scored all six of their runs, including two on a home run by Aguilar, in the second inning to take a 6-5 lead. Runs batted in were recorded by Boyd, Gann, Aguilar, Applegate and Ewton.
Southeastern Oklahoma State retook the lead in the fourth inning, scoring two runs when Conner Harmon hit an RBI groundout and Arianna Jones stole home.
The RiverHawks loaded the bases in the sixth inning, but were unable to bring any runs across and ultimately fell 7-6.
Junior
Alex Files started the game for the RiverHawks. She threw 1.1 innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits. Junior
Kayce Wooldridge (9-11) took the loss in the circle. She conceded two runs on two hits while striking out six in 5.2 innings pitched.
