OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Northeastern State men's soccer team lost a narrow 1-0 decision to Oklahoma Christian Saturday afternoon at Eagle Soccer Field.

The RiverHawks (3-3) have now lost three of their last four matches, while the Eagles improved to 3-2 on the season.

NSU peppered OCU with 21 shots to just seven from the home side, but the visitors were unable to get on the board for the first time this season.

The lone goal of the match came from Ante Susic on a penalty kick in the 42nd minute.

Oklahoma Christian had a player sent off at halftime and played a man down the entire second half. NSU had a 12-1 shot advantage in the final 45 minutes despite being able to find the equalizer.

Eric Shephard (3-3) made two saves in the loss, while Evan Helker (3-2) stopped all nine RiverHawks' shots on goal.

Northeastern State is set to open MIAA action this upcoming week. NSU is set to host No. 20 Lindenwood at 7 p.m. Sept. 24.
