DALLAS, Texas –
Romone Adderley in his third start of the season led the RiverHawks with 16 points but Northeastern State trailed from the opening horn to fall 88-56 at Dallas Baptist on Monday. The loss is NSU's sixth in a row and closed out the RiverHawks non-conference slate for the season.Â
Tyler Williams knocked down three treys in the contest and had 13 points as NSU's other player in double-figures.Â
Montre' Williams left the floor with nine points and he had a team high four assists.
Northeastern State limited themselves to only eight turnovers which was their second lowest total this season. However, the RiverHawks couldn't keep up with the Patriots' shooting after they went 56.1-percent (32-57) on the floor; NSU countered with 36.7-percent (22-60), while going 6-20 from the arc.Â
In the rebounding battle, the Patriots led 30-to-21 with
Tanner Mouse having five as NSU team high.  Dallas Baptist's inside game controlled the follow with the Patriots beating the RiverHawks 44-to-24 inside the paint.
The Patriots were led by Patrick Burk who scored 27 points on 9-of-11 shooting against NSU.
Saturday's loss will drop the RiverHawks to 2-10 to close out the 2016 calendar year; Dallas Baptist climbed up .500 in their ten contests this season.
Northeastern State will be off until Jan. 5, 2017 where they will return to MIAA play for the rest of the season starting with a visit to Lindenwood.
