Junior midfielder
Trevor Reed scored his second goal in as many days with just 2:52 left in regulation, but Derek Merry was able to find the back of the net 1:29 into overtime to steal the victory from the green and white.
Â
Matt Yankowitz initially put TSU on top in the 29th minute when he scored an unassisted tally.
Â
Northeastern State held a big 11-6 shot advantage, but both teams attempted five shots on frame. The RiverHawks also held a narrow 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
Â
Senior goalkeeper
Jackson Biles played the first 45 minutes in goal and conceded one goal, while making one save. Junior
Ryan Davis (0-1) played the final 46:29 and suffered the loss after giving up the OT strike. He also made a pair of saves.
Â
TSU's Zac Suazo (1-0-1) went the distance and finished with four saves and one goal conceded to earn his first win of the year.
Â
