The game-winning goal came off the boot of true freshman midfielder Sarah Rector, who finished a pass from junior forward Melissa Giles in the eighth minute for the first goal of her career. True freshman midfielder Paige Lorenzo also scored her first-collegiate goal in the 86th minute to complete the scoring. She was assisted by junior forward Madison Dobbs.

Giles, senior midfielder Mikayla Carlson and junior midfielder Alexis Carson assisted on the three Mathis goals.
