EDMOND – Northeastern State's offense struggled out of the gates and #19 Central Oklahoma ran past the RiverHawks 81-55 on Saturday afternoon at Hamilton Field House. NSU (8-8, 4-5 MIAA) didn't have a player in double-digits with
Bailee Eldred and
Miranda Griffin both having nine points against the Bronchos (16-2, 7-2 MIAA).
Tree Brooks gave NSU their only lead of the afternoon on a layup in the opening minute, and the Bronchos would follow up with an eight point run. After one half of play, NSU trailed 39-20, and landed 8-of-29 shots from the field.
The Brochos led as many as 29 points on the RiverHawks with Melinda Murillo having a game high 22 points against NSU.
Northeastern State trailed UCO 47-to-39 on the glass with Eldred having eight as a team high. From the field, the RiverHawks shot a season low 32.2 percent (19-59); Central Oklahoma was 39.1 percent (27-69) on their end of the court.
