TAHLEQUAH – #20-ranked Northeastern State pitched its second shutout in a row on Thursday evening beating Oklahoma Baptist 4-0. The RiverHawks launched a season high 34 shots on the Bison and scored a pair of goal in each half in the one sided non-conference tilt.
Thursday's win sends NSU to 12-2-1 overall while the Bison in their regular season finale falls to 4-14.
James Doyle,
Trevor Reed, and
Flynn Semmerling all scored their seventh goal of the season.
Jorge Winter had a goal for the second consecutive contest in the 36th minute to send the RiverHawks up 2-0 on the Bison.
Justin Hinman (5-1) had three saves for NSU in his third career shutout. Reed led the RiverHawks with four of the teams 16 shots on goal. The Bison were limited to six shots and were shutout for the tenth time this season.
Jonas Bors, Doyle,
Lars Vigeland, and
Ben Watson all were credited with an assist for the RiverHawks.
The win brings the RiverHawks to 6-0 all-time against Oklahoma Baptist.
Northeastern State will return to action on Saturday to face Southern Nazarene at 7 p.m.
