HAYS, Kan. – Northeastern State's season concluded with a 58-0 loss at #22-ranked Fort Hays State on Saturday afternoon. The RiverHawks were limited to 190 yards of offense while allowing the Tigers to have over 575 yards on the offensive side of the ball.
The loss will end the RiverHawks' year at 0-11 (0-11 MIAA), while the Tigers claimed a share of the MIAA regular season title with Northwest Missouri holding a 9-2 (9-2 MIAA) record.
Jake Pruitt went 12-for-32 for 112 yards in the air.
Ryheem Brummitt and
Joshua Bolden both caught three passes;
Isaiah Upshaw had two catches for 47 yards.
Kevin Jackson rushed the ball ten times for 23 yards;
Tre'von Overstreet had 46 on five carries.
Courtland Clark and
Joshua Dykes both led the NSU defense with 12 tackles,
Jean Bazile was second with 11.
TURNING POINT
Fort Hays State forced three straight three-and-outs and capitalized on a RiverHawks' fumble in their first four drives to go up 28-0.
