Opening Tip 
  • First of four straight home contests for the RiverHawks.

About the Bison
  • Opened the season with MIAA losses to Washburn and Nebraska-Kearney.

RiverHawks vs. Bison Series
  • First visit to Tahlequah since the 1992-93 season.
  • Last season's meeting was the first since the 1992-93 season.
  • A once heated NAIA District IX rival.
  • The Bison led the overall series 70-51.
  • Head Coach Mark Downey beat the Bison in his lone meeting with the program.
Looking Back
  • Lost at Rogers State, 71-66, with a late three-pointer sinking the RiverHawks.
  • Northeastern State was ahead by 14 in the first half.
  • Tanner Mouse left a pair of points away from a career mark with a game high 20 points.
  • Caleb Smith scored 18 and had eight rebounds.

Senior transfer D'Angelo Jackson starts the season with 1,203 career points in-between stops at Eastern Illinois and Highland CC.  Jackson has a career average at over 15 points per game and was selected as a NJCAA All-American.
  • In three games, Jackson is averaging 9.3 points, and is shooting 50% from the field.

Former Rangers
Jahmel Bodrick, Michael Bowers, and Caleb Smith all come to Northeastern State from Ranger College (Texas) and played for Former Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Kentucky basketball coach Billy Gillispie.
