About the Saints
  • The Saints are the middle game of a stretch where they play three consecutive days.
  • Lone contest against a NCAA team this season was on Nov. 13 at Missouri S&T.  The Miners broke its program scoring mark with a 141-52 over CCC.  
  • Like Friday's game, the Saints' counted their contest with Missouri S&T as an exhibition. 
  • Averaging just under 90 points a game but gives up about has many in six regular season contests.
  • As of Nov. 29 they lead NCCAA Division II in points per game and field goal percentage.
  • They have six averaging double-digit scoring with Trey Black pacing his squad with 16.8 a game.
  • Eight of their 11 players are freshman

  • First known meeting between the two programs.
Looking Back
  • The RiverHawks broke the 100-point threshold for the first time since the start of the 2013-14 season with an 107-49 win over Bacone.
  • Montrey Thomas Jr. came off the NSU bench and paced the RiverHawks with 14 points and he grabbed eight rebounds.
  • Trailing Bacone 9-6 five minutes into the contest, the RiverHawks dropped ten straight on the Warriors and never looked back.  By the end of the half, Northeastern State was on a 49-to-13 run on Bacone.
  • NSU had 25 assists on Tuesday, their most since 2012.
  • Aaron Givens had 12 of the 44 NSU rebounds on Saturday, which was his season high.
Already at 1,000+
Senior transfer D'Angelo Jackson starts the season with 1,203 career points in-between stops at Eastern Illinois and Highland CC.  Jackson has a career average at over 15 points per game and was selected as a NJCAA All-American.
  • In six games, Jackson is averaging 10.8 points, and is shooting 50% from the field
Double-Double x2
For the first time since Feb. 10, 2010 at Southwestern Okla., the RiverHawks had two players with a double-double on a box score.  Josh Ihek and Aaron Givens both hit double-doubles on Nov. 27 against Bacone by hitting double-digits in points and rebounds.

Benchmark
An 107 point effort on Nov. 27 against Bacone broke a five year mark for the most points scored in the NSU Event Center.

Former Rangers
Jahmel Bodrick, Michael Bowers, and Caleb Smith all come to Northeastern State from Ranger College (Texas) and played for Former Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Kentucky basketball coach Billy Gillispie.
