TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State closed out a four game homestand with a bang and hit the century mark for the second consecutive night bombarding Central Christian (Mo.) 118-46 on Friday evening inside the NSU Event Center.
 
The RiverHawks bested a 72–hour-old facility scoring record by 11 points behind Tanner Mouse who matched his career mark with 22 points.  All his scoring came in the first 25 minutes as the senior hit a career high six three-pointers.
 
Josh Ihek dropped 20 on the Saints behind 8-for-9 shooting while pulling down nine rebounds.  Aaron Givens shot 6-for-7 and was NSU's third player in double-digits with 12 points.
 
Northeastern State never trailed and played a near flawless first half with 72.7-percent shooting (24-33) and landing ten treys.
 
The RiverHawks finished the evening shooting 64.8-percent, which was their best effort since Nov. 19, 2012 against Ecclesia (66.7).   At the arc, they were two off from the overall program record with 17, still a team best in four years.  
 
Josh Bougher, Bradley George, D'Angelo Jackson, and Caleb Smith all added nine points.  Montrey Thomas Jr. and Michael Bowers both scored eight.
 
Lincoln Wieseman pulled down nine rebounds with the RiverHawks dominating the glass 49-to-15.

The Nov. 9 and Nov. 13, 2013 was the last time the RiverHawks scored 100+ in consecutive games…Northeastern State matched its 2016-17 win total where they went 5-23 in the season prior to Mark Downey's arrival...third game of the season where NSU led from start to finish…every player suited for the contest contributed at-least a point.

I liked the way we attacked the game. We had a lot of guys get playing time and get some confidence.  You just want to use those games to get better and not be immature about it.  We had guys really share the ball and made pretty mature plays.  I'm excited about the outcome.
