Opening Tip 

• Eighth straight game for the RiverHawks away from the NSU Event Center.
• Second straight game against a team with Lions as the mascot name.
• Cailyn Long needs only five points to be the seventh member of NSU's 1,000 point club.
• First trip for the RiverHawks to Commerce since Feb. 2011. 
• Bailee Eldred, Cenia Hayes, and Long all pace NSU in scoring with over ten points a game.
• Eldred leads the RiverHawks with 6.9 rebounds per game.
• Eldred is fifth nationally carrying a 93.3 free throw percentage.
• Joi Bertrand, Cenia Hayes, and Cailyn Long have started in all 11 contests (including exhibitions).

RiverHawks vs. Lions Series

• Will be the first contest in the last 17 days for the Lions. 
• Set a program-record with a 49-point win margin against Texas A&M-Kingsville (87-38) last time out.
• First meeting with a school from the MIAA since Nov. 8, 2013 (vs. Central Oklahoma). 
• Led in scoring by Princess Davis and Chania Wright who both average about 12 points a game. 
• Davis was a WBCA All-American selection last season and has recorded over 1,000 points for the Lions. 
• Davis claimed conference defensive player of the week honors on Nov. 20 from the Lone Star Conference.
• Ranked ninth in the LSC in points allowed per game.
• Third in the LSC in rebounding and second on the offensive glass.
• Led by fifth year head coach Jason Burton. 

About the Lions

• Nearly seven years has past since the former conference schools have met.
• Northeastern State has won the last five meetings and controls the overall series 16-4.
• All four of Commerce's wins have come at home.
• Northeastern State is 10-0 in Tahlequah 
• In non-conference play, the RiverHawks are 8-0.
• As head coach Fala Bullock has not faced Texas A&M-Commerce, but was 2-0 as a student-athlete with one visit in 2003.

Looking Back

• Using a 13-3 run in the fourth quarter, the RiverHawks narrowed a Southern 15 point advantage down five with 1:22 remaining in the contest.
• Cenia Hayes led the RiverHawks on the floor with a season high 18 points and Cailyn Long scored 15
• Joi Bertrand matched her career high with four blocks, it was the fourth time this season she recorded that many on a team. 
• Outscored the Lions in the second and fourth quarter.
• True freshman Cielo McClain had a career high six points off the bench on 3-for-4 shooting.
• Northeastern State wound up shooting 15-for-50 on the floor and were 4-for-19 at the arc.
• NSU was out-rebounded 44-to-32 by Southern.

Closing on 1,000
Cailyn Long is five points away from joining Northeastern State's 1,000 point club.  The Sparta, Mo. native is a two-time All-MIAA selection and has averaged 11.4 points a game in her four-year career at NSU.

• Averages 2.3 treys a game, seventh most in the MIAA.
• Fourth in the MIAA in three-point percentage (39.2).
• Averages 2.5 treys a game, fifth most in the MIAA.
• Had her eighth career 20+ point game against Northwestern Oklahoma.

Crashing the Boards
Bailee Eldred paced the RiverHawks with 138 rebounds last season and had four double-double contests.  In her collegiate career between NSU and Murray State, Eldred has 470 rebounds and 813 points.   In the NSU record book, only eight players have surpassed 500 career rebounds.  

• Recorded her fifth double-double at NSU with a 16 point and 12 rebound performance at Pitt State.
• Quietly stealthy at the free-throw line going 95.1-percent, which is a MIAA best.  
• Eldred led Northeastern State with 11 points at OSU and at Oklahoma.

Block the Ball
Joi Bertrand returns to NSU for her senior season after finishing third in the MIAA in blocks per game at 1.5.  Bertrand had 49 blocks which was fifth most in a season in program history.   In four combined playing seasons, she has 136 blocks which would be second most all-time in the RiverHawks' record book.

• Has recorded a block in the last nine games.
• Matched a career high of four blocks in the season opener against East Central, at Oklahoma Baptist, and at UA-Fort Smith.
• Scored eight points and led NSU with seven rebounds at Oklahoma.
