Opening Tip 
  • First of four straight on the road after opening the season with its first seven games in Oklahoma.

  • Winners of their last six at home.

  • Second in the MIAA in points per game at 90, but twelfth in defense at 75.8 points per game.
  • Lowest three-point percentage in the MIAA at 31.0-percent.
  • Senior guard Grant Lozoya tops the MIAA in points per game at 24.7, has scored 30+ points in his last two outings. 
  • Lozoya took MIAA Co-Player of the Week honors on Nov. 19.
  • Had one first place vote and was predicted to finish in fifth in the MIAA.

RiverHawks vs. Gorillas Series
  • First meeting since, Feb. 16, 2013 in Pittsburg that both teams will face each other with a winning record.
  • Pitt State has won seven straight on their home court.  Northeastern State's last win at PSU was on Nov. 21, 2001.  
  • 74th overall meeting of a series that started in 1927.
  • Northeastern State trails the Gorillas in the overall series, 51-22.

Looking Back
  • The RiverHawks broke the 100-point threshold for the second straight game with an 118-46 beating of Central Christian. 
  • Tanner Mouse matched his career high in points with 22 and landed a career mark with six treys.
  • Josh Ihek went 6-for-7 off the bench with 20 points and nine rebounds.  
  • Northeastern State out-rebounded CCC, 49-to-15.  
  • The RiverHawks shot 64.8-percent (46-71) and landed 17 three-pointers, which was two off from matching a program record.

Senior transfer D'Angelo Jackson starts the season with 1,203 career points in-between stops at Eastern Illinois and Highland CC.  Jackson has a career average at over 15 points per game and was selected as a NJCAA All-American.
  • In seven games, Jackson is averaging 10.6 points, and is shooting 50.9% from the field.
Double-Double x2
For the first time since Feb. 10, 2010 at Southwestern Okla., the RiverHawks had two players with a double-double on a box score.  Josh Ihek and Aaron Givens both hit double-doubles on Nov. 27 against Bacone by hitting double-digits in points and rebounds.

Inside Men
NSU's post players, Aaron Givens and Josh Ihek are shooting a combined 71.4-percent and accounting for 12.6 rebounds per game.  On the offensive glass the two is averaging nearly five rebounds per game, and scoring 14.6 points a game.

Benchmark
The RiverHawks broke a facility scoring record in its last two contests inside the NSU Event Center.  Northeastern State set a new bar with 118 points on Nov. 30, 2018 against Central Christian (Mo.), a mere 72 hours after braking the prior record that has held for five years.
