DURANT – Northeastern State hit three homers to blow out Southeastern Oklahoma, 9-1, in a rain shortened non-conference contest on Tuesday afternoon. 
 
Officials with one out in the top of the eighth halted the game and stats were reverted to the end of the seventh.  Northeastern State's (8-5) batters had 11 hits and drew six walks against the Savage Storm (4-10) who lost their fourth game in a row. 
 
Zack Henderson went 3-for-4 at the plate with a pair of RBIs and his first homer of the year.  Conner Reynolds went yard in the seventh and he had three RBIs for the RiverHawks.  Colton Wright in his second start behind the dish belted a home run in the second for two RBI day.
 
The RiverHawks scoring come in bunches behind their homers with two runs coming in the second, and three in the third. 
 
Southeastern Oklahoma was limited to four hits to NSU with their lone run coming in the third on a bases loaded hit-by-pitch.
 
Leading 5-1 to in the seventh, NSU laid down four hits, Jaxon Phipps with a runner on second hit a RBI single for their first tally in the frame.  Reynolds later hit his two-run homer, and Michael Rhea scored a run on a sac fly to center.
 
Trevor Smith started the game for the RiverHawks and recorded the first nine outs while only allowing a run and hit; he would also strike out five batters.  Brayden Boyd (1-1) tossed the final four frames and was credited for the win.
 
Northeastern State will return home to host Missouri Southern in MIAA play on Friday for a three game series.
