TAHLEQUAH – For the sixth straight season, Northeastern State is advancing to the NCAA Round of 16 following a 5-1 win over Oklahoma Baptist on Sunday afternoon in Tahlequah. Â

Tatjana Stoll was the decisive point for the RiverHawks on the main court to send her squad to Surprise, Ariz., this year's site for the NCAA Division II National Championship. Stoll would beat No. 49 ranked Kateryna Shkot, 6-4, 6-4, and against nationally ranked players, she is 9-2.
Solid doubles play paved the pathway to nationals for the RiverHawks with its two and three teams both taking 8-3 wins over the Lady Bison.Â
With Northeastern State up 2-1,
Chantal Nosievici was off the court quickly with a 6-2, 6-0 win on court four.Â
Roughly, 30 minutes later
Karla Tomaic moved the RiverHawks one point away from nationals by winning her sixth straight contest, 6-1, 6-4 to set up Stoll for the overall match win.
Northeastern State has advanced to the Round of 16 nine times but has yet advance further since 2004.
Sunday's win will move the RiverHawks to 19-4 overall, while Oklahoma Baptist sees their season end at 15-5.Â
