Joe Garcia set a NSU program record with a goal in his seventh straight match but the #8-ranked RiverHawks could not overcome four second half goals by #21-Fort Hays State to fall 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. The RiverHawks senior broke his own record that was set last season following a blocked penalty kick in the 76th minute while trailing 3-0 to the Tigers. With the loss, Northeastern State falls to 6-1 (0-1 MIAA), while the Tigers go to 5-2-1 (2-0 MIAA).
TURNING POINT
Leading 3-1 following Garcia's goal in the 76th minute, the Tigers halted NSU's momentum three minutes later with a goal of their own.
