Paige Lorenzo and 
Paulina Chavez both had goals for the RiverHawks who blanked Ouachita Baptist 2-0 in NSU's regular season home opener on Friday evening.  Chavez was credited with the game winner after scoring in the 19th minute of the contest on a pass from 
Leslie Munoz.  The shutout is the second consecutive for the RiverHawks who climb to 3-0 this season.  Sophomore goalkeeper 
Brennan Hockett had three saves in front of the net against the Tigers (1-2).
 
IN THE BOXSCORE 
	- Northeastern State out-shot OBU 18-to-11 and had seven shots on-goal.
 
	- Mariah Nicolet nearly gave the RiverHawks their second goal early in the second period.  The junior had a ball get pass the OBU keeper in the 56th minute but the roll died before crossing the backline.  One minute later, she would hit the top crossbar.
 
	- Ouachita Baptist could not capitalize on six corner kicks.
 
 
TURNING POINT 
Lorenzo's goal in the 86th minute came on a kick that went left of the OBU keeper on the left side of the net to make it a 2-nil contest. 
 
EXTRA NOTES 
	- Dating back to the 2011 season, Northeastern State has won 20 straight non-conference home regular season contests in a row.
 
	- Twelfth straight home opening win for the RiverHawks.
 
	- Northeastern State has not allowed a goal in the last 188:19 minutes.
 
	- Second consecutive contest with a goal for Lorenzo.
