RiverHawks vs. Lions Series
- The last time both teams met in the Event Center, Northeastern State sacked the Lions in the second half with a 20-0 run, to beat MSSU 78-48.
- The win for the RiverHawks was the largest victory margin against a MIAA program.
- Southern won the front half of the home-and-home series on Dec. 8, 85-79.
- In the overall series, MSSU holds a 22-18 lead.
- Head Coach Mark Downey is 1-1 all-time against the Lions.
Looking Back
- Tanner Mouse's career day fueled Northeastern State to a 70-61 win on Saturday afternoon at Nebraska-Kearney.
- Mouse dropped 23 points on 9-for-13 shooting and matched his career high with eight rebounds against the Lopers. Â Bradley George scored a career high 17 in his third start of the season and Trent Cantrell added 12 for the RiverHawks.
- The RiverHawks snapped a four game skid and halted a six game MIAA road-losing streak against the Lopers who are the furthest trip from Tahlequah. Â
- Northeastern State led from the opening tip to the final horn and as many as 14 points on the Lopers.Â
- The RiverHawks had their best shooting night since Nov. 30 against Central Christian of the Bible going 54.2-percent (26-48) on the floor.
- They were also 11-for-20 at the arc, which was also NSU's best outing since that Nov. 30 game. Â Â

Tanner Mouse has scored ten or more points in 17 of the last 20 games for the RiverHawks. Â The senior is second at NSU with 13.7 points an outing which is nearly double his career average during his first Mouse's three seasons (7.7 ppg).
Double-Trouble
For the first time since Feb. 10, 2010 at Southwestern Okla., the RiverHawks had two players with a double-double on a box score. Â
Josh Ihek and
Aaron Givens both hit double-doubles on Nov. 27 against Bacone by hitting double-digits in points and rebounds.
BenchmarkÂ
Northeastern State set a new bar with 118 points on Nov. 30, 2018 against Central Christian (Mo.), a mere 72 hours after braking the prior record that has held for five years.
