TAHLEQUAH -- The NSU Women's Soccer team will put their 2-0 record on the line this week in two nonconference matches. They will face Southern Nazarene on Thursday at 3 p.m. before squaring off with Harding on Saturday at 7 p.m. Both matches will be at DeLoache Field.

First Touches
1. NSU is undefeated this season after beating Ouachita Baptist 2-1 and Northwestern Okla. 3-0.

2. NSU is 8-1 all-time against Southern Nazarene, including a 3-1 win last season. They have had similar success against Harding, holding a 17-2-1 all-time record, including a narrow 3-2 win last season.

Chase Wooten is in his ninth season as head coach of the RiverHawks, with a career record of 108-50-14, the best in school history. He has taken NSU to the MIAA Tournament for seven straight seasons, including a berth in the conference finals in 2015.
4. Southern Nazarene is 1-1 this season, with a 1-0 win over Missouri Southern and a 6-2 loss to Central Oklahoma. Karsyn Matthews, DeLaney Stewart and Sydney Davenport all have goals for the Storm. Amanda Bumann has started both matches in net, making 16 saves. Head coach Julie Duncan is in her ninth season as head coach.
5. Harding is 1-1 on the season, with their win being an overtime win against Wayne State (Neb.) before losing to MSU Moorhead 3-0. They will face Texas-Tyler prior to facing NSU. Melanie Spurgeon has the lone goal for the Bisons. Head coach Dr. Greg Harris is in his 19th season as head coach.
Up Next: NSU will wrap up their homestand on Sept. 20 against Central Oklahoma before traveling to Rogers State on Sept. 22. Both of those are scheduled for 7 p.m. kickoffs.
