Rob Czlonka picked up his 100th career win on Thursday night at DeLoache Field as the RiverHawks (4-3, 2-1) defeated the Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm (1-6, 0-2).
Flynn Semmerling opened the scoring in the 7th minute to put the RiverHawks up 1-0, but they were unable to hold it, as Angel Lopez evened the score in the 22nd minute. The RiverHawks regained the lead just before halftime thanks to
Ben Watson and took a 2-1 lead into the locker room.
In the second half
Aaron Ugbah gave the RiverHawks some breathing room, finding the back of the net in the 60th minute. The Crimson Storm didn't go away easy, scoring a goal in the 86th minute to cut the RiverHawks lead to 3-2, but just one minute later Semmerling picked up his second goal of the match to put it out of reach.
The RiverHawks dominated the match, outshooting the Crimson Storm 24-7, with a 17-2 advantage in the second half. NSU had 15 shots on goal to Southern Nazarenes six.
The RiverHawks will be back at DeLoache Field on Saturday when they take on Oklahoma Baptist. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
