TAHLEQUAH -- With basketball season slated to tip-off Thursday, Nov. 19, Northeastern State is releasing its guidelines for fans who want to experience the action inside the NSU Event Center.

NSU will follow CDC, conference (MIAA) and local mandates as it pertains to indoor gatherings in the near-term. Following is a list of protocols currently in place at NSU:

  • The NSU Event Center will operate under the MIAA mandate of a maximum of 25 percent capacity;
  • All spectators are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at GoRiverHawksTickets.com;
  • All tickets will be general admission only;
  • NSU Faculty/Staff/Students can download their complimentary ticket from GoNSU;
  • All advance ticket sales guarantee entry;
  • Remaining tickets will be sold first-come, first-served at the NSU Ticket Booth at the Event Center until capacity is reached. Once capacity has been reached, no admittance will be allowed;
  • Spectators will be subject to health screenings and temperature checks. Anyone with a fever of 100.4 or above will not be granted entry;
  • Masks or face coverings will be required and must be worn at all times unless actively eating or drinking;

  • No spectators will be allowed onto the NSU Event Center playing court at any time (pregame, halftime, or postgame);
  • Spectators are encouraged to use hand-sanitizing stations or restroom to wash hands frequently during the games.

NSU Athletics also will stream each of its basketball games this season to The MIAA Network. The MIAA Network has set the subscription rates for the 2020-2021 MIAA Basketball season. Men's and Women's Basketball broadcast will be available as Pay-Per-View (PPV) for this season.

A basketball season pass is available for $100, which gives a fan access to both men's and women's games all season. Another option for fans is a $10 day pass that allows a fan to watch any MIAA basketball contest on that day. The day pass cannot be purchased prior to gameday and is only good for 24 hours. A step-by-step guide on how to order an MIAA Network Subscription is available here.

2020-2021 MIAA Basketball PPV Subscription Rates
Season Pass (Both Men's and Women's Games) $100
Daily Pass (All Games For 24 Hours) $10

The MIAA Network is available as a mobile app as well as on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, and ROKU. Fans will still have available access to the network from a laptop or desktop computer.

All sports, other than basketball, will be free-to-view this year unless a member institution decides to place a sport behind the paywall then any contest at that institution will require a day pass. The MIAA's previous announcement of all sports going behind a paywall will go into effect for the 2021-2022 academic year.
