TAHLEQUAH – The RiverHawks picked up two non-conference wins on Friday, including a walk-off from
Dylan Hight in game one against William Jewell.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The RiverHawks fell behind early in game one, as the Cardinals scored one run in the top of the third. NSU came roaring back in the bottom of the inning, scoring two runs on two hits, including a RBI single from
Blake Freeman.
Jaxon Phipps scored when
Dylan Hight reached on an error by the shortstop to give NSU the lead.
NSU added a pair in the fourth when
Reid Fehr reached on a fielder's choice. The very next batter was
Collin Klingensmith, who took the first pitch he saw and drove it over the right field fence.
It was a tie game in the bottom of the seventh when Phipps singled to right-center field to start things. He advanced to second when Freeman was hit by a pitch, and they both moved up a base on a sacrifice bunt from
Chaz Orr. After
Wes O'Neill was intentionally walked,
Dylan Hight hit an infield single to score Phipps and give NSU the win.
In game two, it was all RiverHawks. After scoring in the first, they put up four runs in the third, thaks in part to a two-run home run from Orr. They added three more in the fifth and posted one in the seventh to take a 9-1 lead.
In the eighth, the RiverHawks got two straight walks to start the inning, then Orr doubled to left field to make it 10-1. The final run came when O'Neill coaxed a bases-loaded walk to score Freeman.

- Freeman extended his hitting streak to 20 games, while Orr now has a nine-game hitting streak.
- The wins snapped a two-game losing streak for the RiverHawks.

Ryan Summers picked up 10 strikeouts in game two, which is a new career-high for him.
Up Next: The RiverHawks and Cardinals will play a doubleheader on Saturday to wrap up the series. Game one is scheduled for noon, and will be 7 innings in length. Game two will follow, and will be 9 innings.
