Zaria Collins tied her career high with 18 points, but the RiverHawks offense couldn't keep pace with Emporia State on Thursday night, falling 74-49 in the season finale.
Britney Ho had a career-high eight rebounds for NSU.
The NSU offense struggled in the first half, with their two leading scorers going 0-6 from the field.
Maegan Lee led NSU in scoring in the first half with five points. The RiverHawks held the Hornets to 35% shooting in the first half, with ESU going just 3-14 from behind the arc.
The RiverHawks were even with the Lady Hornets in the third quarter, with both teams shooting 31% from the field and pulling 11 rebounds. Collins scored five points in the quarter to lead the RiverHawks.
Collins caught fire in the fourth quarter, scoring 11 points and shooting 5-6 from the field. She took a pass from Brooks and hit a jumper with 6:38 left, then after
Shae Sanchez pulled a defensive rebound, Collins again scored a bucket off an assist from Brooks, who would finish with four assists on the night. Collins would also hit a free throw in the closing seconds.
NSU finishes the season with a 5-21 record and a 3-16 record in MIAA play. Emporia State improves to 21-6 on the season and 14-4 in conference action.
