TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State women's tennis head coach Tim McLane announced the  signing of Sandra Mari Marti to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.

Marti will come to Tahlequah in the fall of 2022 from Valencia, Spain.  She currently holds a singles UTR rating of 7.52 and was as high as 7.82.  Over the last year, Marti held a singles record of 20-16 and reached the Semifinals of the Marca Junior Cup.

"We're excited to have Sandra joining us in the fall," said McLane.  "Sandra is an athletic, skilled player that will give us a lefty in the lineup. She's competed a lot against good competition over in Spain, so you know you're getting someone who is match tough."
