TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State's
Madison Wrather joined 25 student-athletes in Super Region 3 to be named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Football All-District Football First Team Thursday.
Wrather is one of five offensive linemen honored with just 12 overall student-athletes from the Mid-America Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) selected.
The native of Yukon, Okla., has been a mainstay of the O-Line for NSU and started the last 33 games for the RiverHawks.
Wrather is the first NSU football student-athlete named CoSIDA Academic All-District twice since Ross Dvorak was named on the offensive line in 2013 and 2014.
First Team selections are transferred to voting for Academic All-America with voting conducted by the nation's NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors.
