TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State completed an afternoon sweep of Drury, 11-6, in a shortened six-inning contest due to sunlight.
The RiverHawks won took their fifth consecutive game to push their overall record to 8-4.
Alyssia Crick highlighted a quick start for NSU with a three-run homer in the fifth and finished the inning up 5-0 on the Panthers.Â
Drury would make things interesting in the fourth, trailing 7-1 after scoring four runs on four hits on the RiverHawks.
In the bottom half of the inning,
Megan Green hit an RBI single, and
Rhomie Bradshaw scored three with her third homer of the season to go back up 11-5. Â
With sunset approaching, the game ended in the away half of the sixth.Â
Both Bradshaw and Crick had three RBI games, with three NSU players recording a two-hit game.Â
Every NSU batter reached base on the Panthers, who fall to 4-5 overall.Â
Sydney Balderrama (1-1) tossed five innings and struck out three.Â
Jenna Chassie recorded the final three outs.Â
Northeastern State will welcome Missouri S&T next to RiverHawks Park on Sunday for a noon doubleheader.
