TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State was limited to four hits, but they made them count in an 8-2 win Sunday over Missouri S&T. The win is the seventh consecutive for NSU and completed the non-conference sweep over the Miners.
Addie Elbon had two doubles and four RBI to pace NSU as they improved to 10-4 overall.
Northeastern State plated runs in the second and third inning before the Miners evened the game on a two-out single.
Elbon cleared the bases in the third with a double to give NSU a 5-2 lead. One inning later,
Megan Green emptied the bases with a double to extend the advantage to six.
Jenna Chassie (2-1) struck eight batters out and didn't give out an earned run in six innings of work.
Missouri S&T (0-10) left nine runners on and had five hits.
The RiverHawks return to the field at home Friday to open MIAA play with intrastate rivals Central Oklahoma.
