CLAREMORE --
Collin Klingensmith hit a grand slam and the RiverHawks blasted Rogers State 15-1 in seven innings Saturday to take the first game of the three-game series in Claremore.
Reid Fehr had a 4-for-4 day at the plate as the RiverHawks out-hit the Hillcats 13-to-2 and improved to 17-7 overall and 14-5 in the MIAA.

Seth Key worked out of it allowing just a sacrifice fly.
After a scoreless inning, the RiverHawks poured in the runs on the Hillcats with
Collin Klingensmith emptying the bases with a grand slam to right-center. In the fourth, a defensive collapse by RSU with three errors allowed for four more runs to cross home plate.
The scoring continued in the fifth with
Blaze Brothers plating two more runs on a single.
Blake Freeman added more runs with a double to right to bring in pair of batters.
Jaxon Phipps made it a 13-1 game with a sac fly ball to right before
C.D. White scored the team's 14th run on a double to left-center.
White scored the team's 15th run on a single up the middle to send
Blake Freeman home.
Seth Key (3-0) tossed a two-hitter, striking out seven batters on 112 pitches.
The Hillcats fall to 12-11 overall and 9-10 in the MIAA with the loss.
