TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State (2-2-2) closes out its non-MIAA slate Friday with Newman looking for their second win at home this season and closes the weekend out with rivals Central Oklahoma this Sunday to open an 11 match MIAA schedule.   

History with the Jets
Northeastern State has won the last seven contests against Newman dating back to 2004 and holds a 10-1 series lead.  Newman played its final two games of the 2019 season in Tahlequah and was shut out in both. 

Scouting the Jets
Newman will head to Northeastern State winless with a 0-3-1 record and is coming to Tahlequah coming off a home draw to UCO.  The Jets did take Northwestern Oklahoma to overtime but fell 2-1.   Friday's contest is the first out-of-state action for the squad this season. 

History with the Bronchos
Northeastern State and Central Oklahoma have faced 33 times previously win the Bronchos holding a 21-9-2 series lead.  The two teams met in Edmond last week, with UCO shutting out Northeastern State. 

Scouting the Bronchos
After beating the RiverHawks last week, Central traveled to Wichita, Kan., and played to a 2-2 draw with Newman.  Rogers State will host the Bronchos Friday prior before visiting NSU on Sunday afternoon.  Owasso's Kassidy Collins leads the Bronchos with five goals and has two assists.  In the earlier meeting this year, Collins had two goals against the RiverHawks.

Coming Up
Northeastern State will be on the road for the next two weeks and will play Central Missouri next on Oct. 1.
