TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State doubled Missouri S&T's shot total, but they would be shutout 1-0 Saturday in non-conference action.
The Miners (1-1) would break through in the 11th minute for a goal. However, it would be waived due to an offsides call. In the sixth minute of the second half, S&T caught a bounce off an NSU defender inside the box and got the kick through the left side of the net for the game's lone tally.
Northeastern State (1-1) had 16 shots, with seven of them being on-goal.Â
Blake Dumond and
Miguel Torres both had the team lead with two shots at the S&T keeper.
The RiverHawks head on the road for their next five matches, starting with a contest at Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas, on Sept. 9.Â
