History with the Bearcats
Northeastern State has won six consecutive matches against Southwest Baptist and has won four straight in Bolivar dating back to 2014. The series started with 13-nil thumping by NSU in 1996 during the team's inaugural season. In the overall series, the RiverHawks are 11-2-1 against Southwest Baptist.Â
Scouting the Bearcats
- Southwest Baptist has seen action once this season, officially with a 1-0 loss at Kentucky Wesleyan; a scheduled match Saturday for SBU at Union (Tenn.) was canceled due to COVID protocols.
- Before the season, the Bearcats were picked to finish last out of 15 teams in their preseason poll.
- In the spring season of 2021, the Bearcats went winless in all 14 matches and notched one tie. The program has not won in its last 26 outings.Â
Coming Up
The RiverHawks do not play over the weekend but travels to Harding on Sept. 13 for a non-conference tilt.Â
