Flynn Semmerling landed a pair of goals in the first half as the RiverHawks shutout Harding 2-nil on Thursday evening.
The fifth-year senior has been red-hot for NSU, with seven goals in the last four matches to bring his season total to 13, passing a career mark set in 2019.
Semmerling's goal total is tied for seventh in a season in the NCAA era for NSU, matching Joe Garcia.
Both goals came early for the RiverHawks, with Semmerling hitting his third game-winner of the season in the 11th minute. He would follow up four minutes later, scoring on a pass from
Giani Mascarel.
Northeastern State held a 17-to-10 shot advantage over the Bison, who dropped to 3-10-2 (3-5-2 GAC/MIAA).
Niklas Kirhoff had two saves for his seventh shutout of the season and now is one away from tying the program mark.
Thursday's win is the fourth consecutive shutout over Harding and moves the team 25-1 all-time against the Bison.
Northeastern State improves to 8-4-2 (5-3-1 GAC/MIAA) and will have a showdown Saturday at 1 p.m. with Fort Hays State.
