RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. -- Northeastern State's Scott Woods claimed Great American Conference (GAC) Defensive Player of the Week Honors league officials announced Tuesday afternoon. 

Woods played the full 90 minutes in both of the RiverHawks' shutouts last weekend and was a part of a defense that allowed just four shots on goal. 

The RiverHawks have claimed eight shutouts this season, tied for 16th most across NCAA-DII play. 

Woods is the fourth member of the NSU roster to claim a GAC weekly conference honor and joins Niklas Kirhoff, Ryan McCully, and Flynn Semmerling.
