EMPORIA, Kan. -- Emporia State scored a goal in both halves as they eliminated Northeastern State 2-0 Sunday in the MIAA Tournament Quarterfinal.
The RiverHawks were shut out for the sixth time as they will see their season end with a 7-4-8 mark. Â
Northeastern State was limited to one shot in the first half and had seven in the final 35 minutes, but all of them followed a second ESU goal.Â
Emporia State advances to the Tournament Semifinals and faces Northwest Missouri. Central Missouri will host the tournament's final two rounds with a 2-0 win over Missouri Western. Â
The RiverHawks' will see their season end with its tenth consecutive postseason appearance.Â
