TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State will face Southern Nazarene Thursday for the second consecutive season at 6 p.m. in the GAC/MIAA Tournament Semifinal in Bethany.

Southern Nazarene (10-5-3) clinched the GAC/MIAA Regular season title, winning seven of its final eight matches. The Crimson Storm earned hosting honors for the second consecutive season with an 8-2-2 conference mark.

Before last season's tournament meeting, the historical rivals last met in the postseason in 1995. The series is the oldest for Northeastern State, dating to the inaugural season of the men's soccer program in 1981. Southern Nazarene leads the overall series 21-33-2, and Northeastern State has won 20 of the 25 previous meetings.

In the NAIA postseason, the two teams met in the District IX playoffs five times, with SNU holding a 3-2 mark.

Northeastern State concluded the regular season with a 9-5-3 mark, with Flynn Semmerling leading the GAC/MIAA with 14 goals.

Thursday's winner will play either Fort Hays State or Rogers State on Sunday in Bethany.

- Northeastern State's ten goals against Bacone this season are tied for the third most in a match in program history.
