Softball travels to Bentonville for the Alvy Early Classic

TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State will hop over the Arkansas border on Friday and Saturday to play in the Alvy Early Classic in Bentonville.

The RiverHawks will see Southeastern Okla. (11 a.m.) and Maryville (1 p.m.) Friday and then they wrap up the trip Saturday with Quincy (1 p.m.) and with a second meeting this season with Arkansas Monticello (3 p.m.) 

Northeastern State went 3-1 in their opening weekend of play in Arkadelphia, batting .254 as a team.  Addy Wolfe went 7-for-10 at the plate, and Alyssia Crick scored six RBI while batting .455.  

Behind 13 scoreless frames from Gail Young, Northeastern State's pitching staff has allowed only five earned runs.
