TAHLEQUAH – NSU's Blaze Brothers is slated to participate in the upcoming 2022 MLB Draft League season, as announced by the league in a release. 

Brothers will be the first Northeastern State baseball player to play in the league, which is in its second season and serves as a showcase for top draft-eligible prospects leading up to each summer's MLB draft.

Northeastern State is one of three programs from the MIAA to have representation this summer in the MLB Draft League and is one of two NCAA Division II programs in Oklahoma.  

Brothers is a Preseason All-American Honorable Mention selection by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and was voted First Team All-MIAA at second base in 2021.
