Softball gets underway Saturday in Arkadelphia

TAHLEQUAH – The Northeastern State softball team will get its 2022 campaign underway this Saturday at the Hawkins-McGhee Memorial Tournament in Arkadelphia, Ark, on Feb. 5-6. 

Northeastern State will be against one of the two host schools in Henderson State at 3 p.m., and then they will quickly scoot over to Ouachita Baptist for a meeting with Arkansas-Monticello at 5 p.m.

Sunday's action will have NSU facing the second host school on their home field with a 11 a.m. first pitch with Ouachita Baptist and then Oklahoma Baptist at 3 p.m at Henderson State.

Northeastern State returns its top-six bats from the 2021 season and a pitching staff that held a 3.38 ERA.  They made some key additions with Raegan Edwards, a transfer from UT-Arlington, who is slated to play in the NSU infield, and Oklahoma State pitching transfer Savannah Evans.
