HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Northeastern State allowed only two hits but miscues cost them in a 4-2 loss to Harding Sunday. 

The RiverHawks (1-1) would commit three errors, with just one of Harding's four runs being earned.  

Brock Reller scored both of NSU's runs off the long ball, blasting homers in the fourth in the ninth inning.  However, his homers accounted for half of NSU's four hits. 

Reller tied the game with a solo shot in the fourth before Harding scored a run that came off a leadoff error in the fifth. 

The Bison (1-0) got a pair of insurance runs in the eighth off a passed ball and a fielder's choice RBI. 

Jonathan Smithey (0-1) went 5 1/3 innings and struck out four batters.

Northeastern State will head to Durant next for a Tuesday meeting at Southeastern Oklahoma.
