EDMOND — After scoring 39 runs in the previous two days, Northeastern State's bats were silenced for the first time this season in a 3-0 setback Tuesday evening at Central Oklahoma.
The RiverHawks were limited to five hits, with Matt Kaiser having two. NSU would strike out 12 times to Central's pitching.
All of the Bronchos' scoring would come with two-outs scoring one in the third and two in the fifth. Both of those runs would be self-inflicted, with one coming in on a wild pitch and the other on a balk.
Northeastern State left six runners on base and will slip to 15-8 (5-5 MIAA)
Central Oklahoma (11-9, 5-5 MIAA) was limited to six hits, with Davin Pollard (0-2) going 4.2 innings in the loss.
The RiverHawks will have a couple of days off before opening a three-game series with Pittsburg State at Thomas C. Rousey Field on Friday afternoon.
