WICHITA, Kan. – Northeastern State had eight players with multi-RBI games as they rocked Newman 24-10 Friday in the seven innings.
Blaze Brothers homered twice for the RiverHawks as they blew past a 1998 MIAA single-season home runs record with five Friday. Central Missouri needed 47 games to hit 102 homers; the RiverHawks passed that mark in one fewer game and currently sit at 105.
The RiverHawks have run-ruled its opponent in three of their last four games and are 15-1 in April.
Northeastern State banged out 19 hits with all but one in the lineup, collecting two on the day.
Tucker Dunlap had a 4-for-5 day at the plate with a four-RBI game and had the honors of breaking the MIAA homers mark in the fourth.
Brayden Rodden had a pair of doubles and five-RBI,
Collin Klingensmith and
Matt Kaiser also homered for NSU.
NSU did have a streak of 19 games with a stolen base coming to a halt Friday and is one of three games this year where they were not able to swipe a bag. The 19 hits matched a season-high for NSU, with their 24 runs also matching its high water mark in a game this season. However, that feat was done in ten innings.

Newman hit four out of the park and fell to 22-22 (12-19 MIAA).
