KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kaylee Petersen earned her second MIAA Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete honor Tuesday with the Association's Academic Awards announcement.

The recent graduate is one of eight women's golfers in the MIAA to be honored as a Scholar-Athlete for having at least a 3.50 GPA and earning an All-Conference/Region honor.  She is one of three NSU golfers to earn multiple Scholar-Athlete awards from the MIAA.

Petersen,  Nina Lee, Macy Rutland and Kelly Swanson, were placed on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for having at least a 3.00 GPA.

In the Academic Honor Roll category, 52 golfers were mentioned.  To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 or above at the certifying member institution.  The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
