Men's Golf has seven placed on MIAA Honor Roll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northeastern State's Carlos Gomez is one of five MIAA men's golfers to earn Scholar-Athlete status this season, Association officials announced in a release.

To earn MIAA Scholar-Athlete status, one must have at least a 3.50-grade point average or above and be named All-MIAA.

Gomez had a 73.8 stoke average for the RiverHawks and three top-five finishes this last season. 

Brayden Strickland is one of six MIAA men's golfers to earn the Association's Academic Excellence honor for having a perfect 4.0-grade point average. 

Both golfers were on the MIAA's Honor Roll, along with Dustin Anderson, Ryan Morant, Karsten Sanders, Bryson Terry, and Brett Wilcoxen.

To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 or above at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
