Women's Golf remains sixth at NCAA Regional

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Northeastern State didn't make any headway Tuesday on the leaderboard and remained in sixth place, shooting a 311 for the second consecutive round.

Northeastern State will need an incredibly low final round Wednesday, with the distance to third place expanding to 17-strokes.  A finish in the top three will continue NSU's season with an advancement to the NCAA National Championship.

Kaylee Petersen shot the low round for the RiverHawks Tuesday with a 76, landing four brides.  The senior is tied for 20th place, shooting a 154 (78-76).

Aitana Hernandez leads NSU on the leaderboard with a 152 (75-77) and is tied for 15th place; she is seven strokes back from an individual transfer spot to the NCAA National Championship.  The top-two individuals on non-advancing teams will earn a berth; NSU has five players previously.

Nina Lee is tied for 26th place, shooting a 156 (77-79), Marybeth Bellnap turned in a 161 (81-80) through two rounds, and is tied for 38th.  Yasmin Hang is tied for 41st, one stroke back of Bellnap.

Henderson State moved up two places and leads the field by eight strokes, shooting a 589 (301-288).

Northeastern State will be paired with Arkansas Tech and Central Oklahoma for the final round, where they will tee off at 8 a.m.
